While many businesses can close during this crisis, our residences can not shut down. Our brave staff is still there caring for them. As the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic rapidly spread, one of the first items to disappear from shelves and inventory was Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which includes proper masks, gloves, goggles, and gowns. All of which our direct care staff and individuals need to be safe. With shrinking supplies came increasing and sometimes astronomical costs. We cannot put a price on the safety of these people. Along with the cost of PPEs has come a drastic loss of income due to program closures and extra hours by our dedicated staff. It has all taken a toll on our finances.
Our individuals are some of the most vulnerable members of our population, and we will continue to be there for them no matter how dire this situation gets. We hope you can be there for them as well by making a donation to support our Coronavirus response.
