(Queens, NY)On Monday, 2/4/13, AABR, a social service agency caring for people with disabilities, welcomed the Trade and Investment Minister of Denmark, Ms. Pia Olsen Dyhr to one of their Day Habilitation Centers in Jamaica, Queens. The Minister presided over the contract ceremony between AABR and Denmark based Team Online, a provider of case management software solutions

“The entire field is moving to a paperless system,” said Thomas McAlvanah, Executive Director of AABR. “By partnering with TeamOnline, we seek to be at the forefront of that change.”

Mr. McAlvanah refers to the major transitions taking place in the field of developmental disabilities. Under the guidance of Commissioner Burke of the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), agencies in New York State will be moving from a fee-for-service model of care to a managed care operation under the People First Waiver. In addition, services provided will be captured digitally.

Team Online created the Bosted System, a care management software solution, fourteen years ago. The system is now used by over 80% of the facilities in Denmark that care for people with disabilities.

“The system is user-friendly and allows for more time to care for individuals,” said Michael Jensen, President of Team Online USA.

Minister Olsen Dyhr was joined by the Consul General of Denmark in New York, Mr. Frijs-Madsen, Founder and CEO of Team Online A/S Michael Sandal, President of Team Online USA, Michael Jensen, Ann Hardiman, Executive Director of NYSACRA, along with AABR parents and staff.
