Residential Manager


We are currently seeking Management Staff for our residences in the Bronx County Area

  • Residential Shift Supervisors
  • Residential Assistant Managers
  • Residential Managers

Job Summary: Each of these roles require that you oversee and ensure that all AM and PM activities related to the residencies and individuals AABR serves effectively and productively.  These roles are also responsible for implementing and creating a community inclusion calendar for indoor activities for all individuals, and advocates for each individual while out in the community.

In this role, you will:

  • Promote a positive and productive work environment
  • Assist in the hiring, training and coaching of all direct care employees under your supervision
  • Promote and adhere to AABR’s quality standards, values, and strategic vision
  • Develop and manage Individual Service Plans and Plans of Protection/Behavior Support Plans
  • Manage crisis situations and behavioral issues as the needs arise
  • Ensure accurate documentation and service billing is submitted timely
  • Diligent in complying with OPWDD and AABR policies, rules and regulations


  • Oversee medical and health service activities and personnel
  • Plan and coordinate health services
  • Work collaboratively with physicians to implement appropriate healthcare programs
  • Maintain a clean environment to ensure patient safety
  • Assist in planning, coordinating and integrating activities for individuals living in the residence and community
  • Provide and ensure ongoing protective oversight of Health & Fire Safety for individuals living in the residencies
  • Must be able to make decisions in conjunction with and in the absence of other managers that drives operational processes
  • Oversee and supervise administering medications by staff including evening med-pass, medication count, and assist when needed
  • Establish and enforce healthcare policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as required


  • Previous experience in direct care
  • Strong managerial and problem solving skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong verbal communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Two years’ experience working in a residential setting preferred
  • At least one year’ supervisory experience preferred
  • Clean and valid New York driver’s license and the ability to transport passengers using a vehicle
  • Must be certified in Medication Administration (AMAP), First Aid, CPR, and SCIP-R.  Must maintain all certifications
  • Strong Microsoft Office computer skills
