Metropolitan Club Managers Association (MCMA)
AABR has proudly partnered with the Metropolitan Club Managers Association (MCMA), the Metropolitan Chapter of the Club Management Association of America (CMAA), since 1970. Over the years, MCMA has supported AABR in numerous ways, including ongoing fundraising efforts, advocacy, and leveraging their influence and resources to benefit the individuals we serve.
The Metropolitan Club Managers Association (MCMA) is a professional organization dedicated to advancing the profession of club management in the greater New York metropolitan area. It provides its members with resources for career development, networking, and industry knowledge, helping them effectively manage private clubs. The MCMA also fosters a strong community of support and offers educational opportunities to its members.

Create Hope Foundation
The Create Hope Foundation has been a longtime supporter of AABR’s various programs, helping individuals with developmental disabilities thrive within their communities. Through their generous contributions and advocacy, they have played a vital role in expanding AABR’s services, ensuring that children and families receive the care and resources they need.
Distinguishing itself from larger charitable groups, the Create Hope Foundation emphasizes aiding smaller organizations, families, and individuals who might otherwise be overlooked. Their support includes funding for medical treatments, educational resources, and community programs that promote inclusivity and empowerment.
To raise funds, the foundation hosts two annual events: a golf outing in the summer and a cigar night in the fall. These events leverage the team’s connections within the business community to garner support and donations. Additionally, the foundation encourages and facilitates community involvement through initiatives like “donated birthdays” and school fundraisers, fostering a spirit of giving and awareness among participants

Spirit Of Huntington
In 1974, the MCMA hosted their first golf tournament at Willow Ridge Country Club, an event that has continued annually to raise critical funds for AABR. The tournament, now known as the Douglas G. Lewis Invitational in honor of the former president of MCMA, has become a cornerstone of our fundraising efforts. Through this event, the MCMA has raised over $3 million, significantly helping AABR expand our services and better support individuals with developmental disabilities.
Spirit of Huntington is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing creative expression and art education to individuals with developmental disabilities, veterans, and others in the community. Through art, they empower individuals to unlock their potential and gain a sense of fulfillment, independence, and joy.
Thanks to the success of AABR’s 2023 Annual Campaign, we are proud to announce a new partnership with Spirit of Huntington. As part of this collaboration, we now offer twice-weekly art classes for individuals in our day programs, giving them the opportunity to explore their creativity and develop new skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. This partnership enhances AABR’s mission to provide meaningful activities that foster personal growth and community engagement.
