AABR’s 51st Annual Golf Outing Raises Over $250,000

On September 3, AABR and MCMA proudly hosted the 51st Annual Douglas G. Louis Applied Underwriters Invitational at the prestigious Westchester Golf & Country Club in Rye, NY. The event saw over 200 golfers gather for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and fundraising for a great cause.

The outing raised over $250,000 to support AABR’s vital programs and services for individuals with developmental disabilities. These funds will go directly toward enhancing AABR’s residential, employment, and day programs, helping those we support to lead more independent, fulfilling lives.

This year’s honorees included Bruce Beck, award-winning sports anchor at NBC, and the DaProcida family, long-time supporters of AABR in honor of their sister Mary. Their dedication to AABR’s mission has made a lasting impact, and we were proud to recognize their contributions.

The day kicked off with a shotgun start, followed by a lively round of golf on the stunning championship course. In addition to the tournament, participants enjoyed on-course contests, a silent auction, and an awards dinner, where top-performing teams were recognized.

AABR extends heartfelt thanks to all the sponsors, donors, and participants who made the event such a success. Special recognition goes to the Golf Committee, whose dedication and hard work ensured the day ran smoothly, and to the many volunteers who contributed their time and effort.
