AABR Featured on News 12 for Autism Acceptance Volunteer Event

Celebrating Community, Connection, and Inclusion

We’re proud to share that AABR was recently featured on News 12 Westchester for our Autism Acceptance Volunteer Event, featuring our Program Without Walls participants, at the Bronxville Field Club! The segment highlighted the heart of our mission: empowering individuals with developmental disabilities through meaningful community engagement.

As part of the event, our individuals participated in a volunteer gardening project, planting vibrant flowers alongside members of the club. Each participant received an AABR-branded apron and a custom-crafted pot with flower seeds to take home—both a token of their contribution and a tool for continued growth and learning. The day also included a shared lunch with club members, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual appreciation.

This event underscored our longstanding 52-year partnership with the Metropolitan Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America (MCMA), whose ongoing support continues to open doors for opportunity and inclusion.

We extend our deepest thanks to all who helped make this day such a success—and a special shoutout to Lori Sahagian, General Manager of the Bronxville Field Club for their incredible work to host and coordinate such a memorable experience for all involved.
