Announcing the Beloved Butterfly Ball: Celebrating 70 Years of AABR

This year marks a remarkable milestone for AABR: 70 years of serving individuals with autism and developmental disabilities and building communities where all abilities are beloved and respected.

To honor this legacy, we are proud to announce the Beloved Butterfly Ball, our signature anniversary gala, taking place on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, Long Island.

Inspired by the butterfly in our logo — a symbol of growth, resilience, and transformation — this special evening will bring together friends, families, community partners, and supporters to celebrate the journey that began in Queens in 1956 with a small group of determined families, and has grown into an organization now serving more than 1,000 individuals across New York City and Long Island.

The Beloved Butterfly Ball will be a joyful and meaningful night of connection, reflection, and purpose, as we celebrate the lives that have been touched, the progress we’ve made together, and the future we are building for generations to come.

We invite you to be part of this historic milestone event. To learn more, explore sponsorship opportunities, or reserve your place, please visit www.aabr.org/gala2026.
