Mahendra Hariraj is a seasoned financial executive with nearly two decades of experience in both nonprofit and corporate sectors. His expertise in financial planning, resource optimization, and strategic growth has enabled organizations to strengthen fiscal operations and achieve long-term sustainability.
He has led financial operations for organizations such as Eihab Human Services, Edge Inc., the Tenement Museum, Ultimate Medical Academy, The Door, and FedCap Rehabilitation, managing budgets of up to $500 million. His leadership in capital investment, cost-saving initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, financial audits, risk mitigation, and policy development has driven efficiency, transparency, and financial stability.
In addition to his executive roles, Mahendra has served as an adjunct professor of Finance and Economics at Monroe University, mentoring future financial professionals. He has also contributed as Treasurer for a nonprofit focused on advancing human rights and democracy worldwide.
Mahendra holds a master’s degree in accounting from Queens College.
