AABR’s First Program Without Walls Hub Opens in Queens!

AABR proudly celebrated the grand opening of its very first Program Without Walls Hub in Queens — a milestone moment for the organization and the individuals it serves. The newly renovated space is warm, welcoming, and full of opportunity. Thoughtfully designed to foster creativity, connection, and comfort, the hub includes a fully equipped kitchen, tables and chairs for group activities, computers with headphones, books, games, and even a chalkboard wall for sharing ideas and inspiration.

This new hub gives individuals in the PWoW program a dedicated place to come together and express themselves — a true landing space where they can recharge, learn, and build community when they’re not out exploring the world. It’s a space that reflects AABR’s ongoing commitment to providing meaningful environments where everyone can thrive.

Opening day was filled with excitement, joy, and celebration. After months of anticipation, the individuals in the PWoW program could hardly wait to see their new home base. The moment the doors opened, there were smiles all around — everyone eager to explore the rooms, test out the computers, peek into the kitchen, and jot ideas on the chalkboard wall. The atmosphere was electric as laughter and conversation filled the space.

Staff members joined in the celebration, sharing food and stories while reflecting on how far the program has come. The sense of pride and community was unmistakable — this was not just the opening of a building, but the beginning of something special. For many individuals, the hub represents comfort, creativity, and belonging — a place they can always return to, whether to relax, connect with friends, or dream up their next big idea.

The Queens PWoW Hub marks a new chapter for AABR — one that celebrates empowerment, inclusion, and the joy of coming together.
