The Gardens at Wellington: A Labor of Love in Full Bloom

What was once a gray, cement-topped courtyard at AABR’s Wellington Hall has blossomed into a vibrant oasis — thanks to the vision and dedication of AABR parent Michele Maldonado and the Wellness Team from The Joint Industry Board of the Electrical Industry.

Through their tireless efforts, The Gardens at Wellington came to life — complete with colorful flowers, thriving vegetables, handcrafted plant boxes, and comfortable seating where our individuals can relax, reflect, and connect with nature.

This transformation is more than just landscaping — it’s a living lesson in growth, care, and community. The individuals who attend AABR’s Day Program at Wellington Hall now have a space to plant, nurture, and watch their efforts bloom. It’s a daily reminder that with the right care and collaboration, even the most ordinary spaces can become extraordinary.

A heartfelt thank you to Michele and the JIBEI Wellness Team for turning concrete into community — and for helping our individuals cultivate not just gardens, but joy.
