Thank you so much for your support during these uncertain times.
As the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic captured global headlines and panic rapidly spread, one of the first items to disappear from shelves and inventory was Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which includes proper masks, gloves, goggles, and gowns. All of which our direct care staff and individuals absolutely need to be safe. With shrinking supplies came increasing and sometimes astronomical costs. We cannot put a price on the safety of these people, so we have done our best to supply them with what is available.
Unfortunately, maintaining a working level of these supplies, along with a drastic loss of income due to program closures, has taken a toll on our finances. What not everyone understands is that most masks are not made to be used forever. They’re not even made to be used more than once. Once they are wet they must be replaced. Our short supply will go quickly. It already has. We are asking you to please give what you can so that we can keep our individuals and staff covered in the safest Personal Protective Equipment.
